Our funeral directors include Eddie Pigg of Gastonia, and Donna K. Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, which has deep roots in our community, is locally managed and operated. Our present building was built around the existing chapel in 1992. In September of 1991, two years after Frank Sisk passed away, the old portion of the funeral home burned. In 1974 the funeral home was renamed Sisk-Butler Funeral Home. They added a new building in 1965 which included a large chapel. In 1962 his son-in-law, Joe Butler, joined the business. In 1974 the funeral home was renamed Sisk-Butler Funeral Home. Needing a larger facility, Frank Sisk bought the Goldberg home at our present location in 1960. In 1941 he built a funeral home on Eleventh Street. He went to embalming school in Chicago in 1930 and then returned home to open Sisk Funeral Home on Virginia Avenue. Frank Sisk owned a furniture store in Bessemer City and began selling caskets in 1928. Sisk-Butler has a long and rich heritage which began many years ago. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday Octoat 1:00pm from the Center Grove Baptist Church in Red Springs. A viewing will be held on Octofrom 1pm-6pm at Butler's Chapel in Red Springs. Our staff will attend to every detail in order to provide the very best personalized service possible. Roscoe McKoy 73 of Red Springs transitioned into eternal rest on October 24, 2018.
